What if I gave up the act?

If it all came down to me, just me.

Stop blaming.

Stop hurting.

Walking around the city,

Music in my ears, observing.

Surrounded by zombies.

Texting, calls & selfies.

"YOU'RE JUST TOO MUCH" she yelled.

Though intended to be an insult, I laughed.

"You're right" I wanted to respond,

..Because it's better than the alternative.

Most of my childhood memories involve sports.

In middle & high school-

I earned awards in multiple sports.

In addition to academics.
